About Me

I'm Gian Maria Marconi, a Ph.D. candidate at Laboratory for Computational and Statistical Learning, a joint laboratory between Italian Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
I have a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering and a Master degree in Telecommunication Engineering, both obtained from University of Parma.

My topics of interest are:

  • Structured Machine Learning
  • Exploiting geometric structure on data
  • Machine Learning for Robotic vision and control

When not dealing with unstable optimization algorithms or overly complex deep learning models you can find me: playing Go [My EGD profile]; riding my GT Grade AL 105; doing calisthenics; playing boardgames [My collection].
